The one bad part about the Chedi Hotel in Chiang Mai is that it is at the corner of two streets. That means every time you want to walk out of the Chedi Chiang Mai Hotel, you will have to cross a very busy street. Although the Chedi Chiang Mai Hotel has employed a traffic helper to help cars get in and out of the hotel, the traffic man does not really help hotel guests walking in and out of the hotel. Most of the time, you have to watch the traffic and run when there is a gap in traffic. Then you will be in a small street which is not very clean and is polluted as you watch many cars and trucks racing by you. The locals are wearing masks to avoid inhaling pollution.

On the streets right outside the Chedi Hotel Chiang Mai, there aren’t many things to do. There are some restaurants and a 7-11 convenient store but nothing like what you will see at the Chiang Mai night bazaar. There is, however, a famous Italian restaurant at the corner right opposite the Chedi Hotel Chiang Mai. This Italian restaurant is the first thing you will see when you cross the street out of the Chedi Hotel on the left hand side. The local people of Chiang Mai know about this Italian restaurant because it is supposed to be the best (or one of) in Chiang Mai in terms of Italian food.

The above picture is the pool of the Chedi Hotel Chiang Mai. The pool is opposite the restaurant. The pool is facing the Ping River which is not clean and if you get close enough, smelly.

This is a picture of a room at the Chedi Chiang Mai hotel. You can see the bath and vanity table in the background. The room is luxurious and every room has a balcony with couches.
