How to get to Ang Thong, Thailand?
There are daily ferry services from Bo Pud
Pier and Naa Thorn Pier on Koh Samui to Ang Thong. The journey
from Ko Samui to Ang Thong and Ang Thong National Park takes
about an hour and a half by small boat. The journey is rocky so
take sea sick pills before you leave if you are likely to get
seasick.
Where to stay in Ang Thong?
Ang Thong National Park has bungalows,
campsites and other facilities for accommodation. However,
there is nothing fancy and civilized. You really have to like
hiking and nature to stay in Ang Thong. Once you are on Ang
Thong islands, there may not be emergency ways to leave because
you have to wait for the next boat to come which can be a long
wait at times. For tourists who like luxury and comfort, it may
not be wise to visit Ang Thong and Ang Thong National Park at
this time.
