Bangkok Traffic

Bangkok is well known for its traffic problem. Bangkok traffic is much worse than LA traffic or any other traffic jam. A journey that would have taken half an hour with regular traffic takes up to 2 hours in Bangkok traffic. Worse than the traffic jam problem is the problem of motorcycles barging in between cars as well other cars just pushing their way into your lane. In Bangkok traffic it's every man for themselves. If you are nice in Bangkok traffic, you may earn yourself another hour in traffic jam when you could have easily got home had you not been nice.

When driving in Bangkok traffic, expect other cars to not respect your lane and space. Expect buses to come within one inch of your car on a regular basis. It is surprising why there aren't many more accidents in Bangkok considering how crazy people drive there. It's probably because every driver in Bangkok traffic expects there to be unexpected and sudden movements and changes that could impact their cars so they drive much more carefully with their feet on the break panel at all times ready to do emergency break any second.
