Delta Airlines, for example, is a partner of Korean Air which fly to Bangkok, Thailand, via Incheon, Seoul in Korea.

From Korea, you will also fly Korean Air to Bangkok. Although, your airline ticket to Thailand may say Delta Airlines, it will also say Korean Air.
