Phrao Thailand

Phrao, Thailand is located in the northern part of Thailand in Chiang Mai. Phrao District of Chiang Mai is very barren, like a true countryside of Thailand. However, if you are curious about the lifestyle of northerners of Thailand and hilltribes, Phrao Thailand has much to offer. First of all, Phrao is about one and a half to 2 hours drive from Bangkok. One the way to Chiang Dao, Chiang Rai or Laos, tourists sometimes stop by Phrao and have lunch at Khum Lanna. Thai people call the district of Phrao Thailand "amphor Phrao".

Phrao is a common word in the Thai language. There are many tones of Phrao. In Bangkok, there is a famous road and area called Lard Phrao or Lad Phrao, home to the famous Central Plaza Lad Phrao or just Central Lad Phrao and the magic land at Lat Phrao. The word phrao is also used in the well known Thai dish called Pad Ka Phrao.

There is not much to see in Phrao but if you want nice countryside bike ride or fresh air, Phrao Thailand may have just what you need. Tourists come to Phrao Thailand to relax and see the northern lifestyle. However, if you expect air conditioning or luxury, you may not want to visit Phrao Thailand.
