What do the colors on Thailand flag symbolize?

The colors on Thailand ’s flag symbolize three things: the country (Thailand), the prominent religion (Buddhism), and the King of Thailand (King Bhumibol Adulyadej). The flag of Thailand is very meaningful and the three colors on the flag of Thailand symbolize the struggles in the history of Thailand from a country with slavery and things to not be proud of to the country Thailand stands today with a great King, a unique Thai Language, Thailand Culture, and many other symbols of Thailand Culture that the Thai People can be proud of.

What do the colors on the flag of Thailand mean?

Thailand ’s flag is made up of three colors: red, white, and blue. The Thai flag is raised throughout Thailand in the morning and the Thai flag is lowered in the evening daily while the Thai national anthem plays. The three colors of the Thai flag have meanings.

  • The red color of the Thai flag symbolizes Thailand as a country.
  • The white color of the Thai flag symbolizes Thai religion which is Buddhism,
  • the blue color of the Thai flag symbolizes the king of Thailand.

Thai People are very proud of their Thai flag and what it symbolizes. Thai People are proud of their history, heritage, and how their ancestors defended the country (Thailand). Most of all, Thai People love and respect the king of Thailand above all.

Raising the flag of Thailand every morning

Everywhere in Thailand, in the morning at 8 am, the national Thailand ’s flag is raised. At all schools in Thailand, especially, all students have to stand ready to sing the Thai national anthem before 8 am. When the national Thailand ’s flag is raised at 8am, all Thai students sing the Thai national anthem. The Thai flag is kept in the air until 6pm when the Thai flag is lowered. Thai students usually don’t have to stand in front of the Thai flag for this lowering of the Thai flag daily.
