Khum Lanna Cooking Class Continued

After you have finished making all the dishes (you make them at the same time so you could be stirring desserts on one side and frying veggie next to your dessert) then you go to the eating area (restaurant) and they would bring the food that you cooked to serve you. Drinks are extras and they do have beer but could run out (often).

After eating, you are welcome to walk around Khum Lanna at your leisure. No one is there to look after you or explain anything. There are buffalos that can walk around freely but they are not friendly. If your tour includes visiting the medicine man, then you will cycle to his home after lunch which is about 5 minutes cycling time from Khum Lanna. The roads are pretty much barren with nothing to see but trees and run down buildings and homes.

The medicine man makes these medicine out of leaves and herbs found in the hills and mountains of Northern Thailand. He claimed that these are miracle medicines that cure anything including cancer! He said that if you have severe case of cancer then take lots of medicine and if you have just a little cancer then take one or two tablets and the cancer will be gone. Naturally, they try to sell these miracle medicines to you.

After that you can take the same car and return to Chiang Mai. You will hit rush hours in Chiang Mai and be in traffic for a while. However, you should be back at your hotel in Chiang Mai by 5pm.
