Koh Samui has one airport. The Koh Samui Airport is very small and is not air conditioned. Koh Samui Airport follows the tropical theme of the entire Koh Samui island. When you arrive in Koh Samui Airport by a Bangkok Airways plane, you will get on a tram to the main Koh Samui Airport arrivals. From the tram, you will be in Koh Samui Airport where you can pick up your luggage and just leave. There is no need to worry about Customs at Koh Samui Airport. Arriving in Koh Samui Airport is not strict. Leaving Koh Samui Airport is, however, much more strict.
