Thai people in Thailand are called Thai. Thai is the word in the Thai Language meaning ‘freedom’. Thai people are proud of thier heritage and how their ancestors fought for their freedom. There are also many character traits of Thai people that are well known throughout the world such as the smile of Thai people. Thailand is known as the land of the smile. Although most Thai people are in Thailand, Thai people scatter throughout the world such as in the United States, Australia, England, Europe and other parts of Asia. Thai people love to travel but the majority of Thai people cannot afford to travel much.
